Blue Ridge Georgia Area Attractions

Blue Ridge,Georgia, located in the far north of the state, is a wonderful weekend or week long escape. Blue Ridge is a quaint little town that is close to many outdoor attractions for young and old alike.

For the fisherman,there is Blue Ridge Lake, the Toccoa River, Rock Creek, Coopers Creek, Fightingtown Creek along with many other trout streams, ponds, and watershed lakes that are within an hours drive of Blue Ridge.

Blue Ridge Lake also provides an ample amount of water for boating, skiing, jet skis and swimming.
The Toccoa River that feeds Blue Ridge Lake is excellent for tubing and canoeing. There are tubing outfitters on the river who provide tubes and shuttle services for tubers. One of my favorites is Johnny Stephens, who has a place right across Shallowford Bridge on Aska Road. Johnny rents inner tubes and also drops tubers off at the canoe launch site Sandy Bottoms.

 Other notable attractions in the Blue Ridge area include,  the Swan Drive-in, bowling, numerous hiking and biking trails,  the Ocoee River,  the Blue Ridge Train, mini-Golf and gem mining,  the downtown district and access to the beautiful North Georgia mountains.

Additionaly, not far from Blue Ridge are the twin cities of McCaysville, Ga and Copperhill Tennessee. The Toccoa River runs right through these towns, the train in Blue Ridge takes visitors down a scenic route alongside the Toccoa to the Twin Cities. Tubing and fishing  is also availiable for this part of the Toccoa that flows down from the Blue Ridge Lake.

Why Don't We Drill for Our Own Oil

Maybe I am a little ignorant and unlearned, but I have a hard time understanding why we do not drill for own oil in Alaska and offshore as well. Why does some of those in power insist on keeping the United States dependent on foriegn oil? There is a mystery here and I am afraid of what the answer may be.

EURO 5 CITROËN NEMO - EGS RANGE EXPANSION & SPECIFICATION UPLIFT

As the latest move in its ‘Business Class’ programme, Citroën has expanded the newly launched Euro 5 Citroën Nemo range. Available now, the Citroën Nemo HDi 75 EGS Stop & Start 660 LX is an even more economical and lower emissions model.


In addition, the standard specification of the range-topping Nemo HDi 75 manual Stop & Start 660 Enterprise has been enhanced with a new dual-function Connecting Box, which includes Bluetooth® and a USB socket. What leaps out at me from today's excerpt from "My Utmost for His Highest" is that believers should live the message of Christ. Believe it or not that is what I taught in bible study last night. Coincidence? No, I believe God is reminding me that if we are going to be a light in this world of darkness we have to life the life.

U.S. Commandos Free Crew from Pirates

Off the coast of Oman, U.S. commandos have captured four suspected pirates aboard a Japanese oil tanker. 24 crewmembers took refuge in a safe area on the MV Guanabara (the oil tanker.) Then, a special group of the USS Bulkeley stopped the pirates and saved the crew. This was a very heroic act of those commandos. I think they should definitely get a medal of honor or something.

This thrilling line-up, which delivers an exceptional combined output of 1,315PS, has been placed in the extremely capable hands of race and rally-proven Audi Driving Experience instructors, who provide expert insight into the key aspects of safer, more rewarding driving. Throughout the day-long event they are on hand to train drivers in every aspect of car control, including managing understeer and oversteer, high speed lane changes and avoidance manoeuvres and general methods for balancing the car to extract the very best from its chassis.

Tuition begins with ABS braking, slalom and cornering techniques, after which drivers can enjoy ample lap time behind the wheel of the R8 and the other course cars at gradually increasing speeds, all the while receiving technique tips via two-way radio from the instructor in the ‘pace car’ on the track.

CONTINUED SUCCESS FOR SWIFT – SUZUKI’S COMPACT SUPERMINI GLOBAL SALES EXCEED TWO MILLION UNITS

When Suzuki launched the Swift six years ago; it brought a blend of eye-catching good looks, Japanese quality and European - inspired driving dynamics to the compact car segment.

Those attributes are still as strong today and Suzuki are pleased to announce that global sales have recently passed the two million mark. Since launch in the UK in May 2005; over 60,000 Swifts have been sold and it accounts for around 38 per cent of the UK sales mix. The all new Swift was launched in September of last year and is even safer with a Five star Euro NCAP rating; it is also lighter, more powerful and more economical than before.

Swift is global in outlook and production – it was first built in Japan, followed by Hungary, China, India and more recently Indonesia and Malaysia – but its development was focused firmly on the demands and tastes of the European market in terms of design and driving characteristics. Net10 LG900 Smart Phone

I recently entered the high-tech world of smart phones, I upgraded from the basic of basic Net10 phone that cost me $15 a month to the Net10 LG900 Smartphone. So far it has served its purpose well, great reception, connects to the internet looks pretty cool too. You folks with your iPhones and Droids are probably laughing at this post, but the fact that I have a cell phone much less a smartphone is a big step for me. However, there may be some people out there just like me who are new to the cellular world or are think about going mobile, for an entry level phone that does not cost you an arm and a leg I personally reccommend Net10. If you are not needing to go online, Net10 has plenty of simple phones that work well and can be purchased at the entry level for $15 and up from there with plans starting at $15 per month. For those who want something a little more sophiscated with a web browser, the LG900 is a good phone to start with. I got my phone for $60 and purchased 750 minutes for $25 and 30 days of service. This phone is sufficient for my needs for now until I get the itch for a touchscreen.

Terrorist Attack in Germany?

Why can't Obama call a terrorsist attack a terrorist attack? When a jihadist shouts an Islamic statement and shoots an American soldier, why does President Obama have a hard time calling it a terrorist attack? The shooting in Germany was clearly a terrorist attack, is Obama so blind that he can't see that? or is their other reasons preventing him from decrying the recent attack on our military. Perhaps he is afraid of repercussion from radical sects of Islam, or maybe he sympathizes with jhadists. It really makes me wonder.
