"We've had an absolutely marvellous show. We've seen hundreds of people and made lots of very useful new contacts," said Maureen Ballance manager director at Tachomaster on stand 5758. The firm's digital and analogue tachograph analysis service is instantaneous and alerts operators to any infringements. Axscend confident
Trailer management specialist Axscend, on stand 5676 at the CV Operator Show, has been busy and is confident of new business from the event. "We've been very busy on the stand and I'm confident we'll do good business off the back of the Show and help fleets cut their costs," said Tim Steer, Axscend's managing director. He said he'd taken enquiries from visitors who between them run at least 10,000 trailers and were keen to talk about the business services Steer has to offer.

Discount subscription deal a winner
The special 30% subscription discount deal for Commercial Motor show stand visitors to celebrate the magazine's media partnership with the CV Operator Show proved a winner. 5,000 parking sensors sold
"We've sold 5,000 parking sensors in one order," said Mark Scarff, managing director at CKO International. The firm, on stand 5070 at the CV Operator Show, makes, sells and distributes a wide range of vehicle electronic and driver aids. "The visitors we saw clearly wanted to be at the Show to do business; they hadn't just come for a day out." He is clearly confident that the firm will convert a respectable number of its leads into profitable orders.

102 more MANs in Carntyne's colours
The first of a 102-strong batch of MAN TGC XLX twin-steer tractors and stainless-steel tankers in the colours of Glasgow's Carntyne Transport has attracted has attracted a lot of attention at the CV Operator Show. Carntyne's fleet includes more than 100 trucks and 500 van and tank trailers, hauling whisky, foodstuffs and chemicals. The truck and trailer at the Show is a fully certificated limited edition model on the Search Impex stand, 5702. "We've had dozens of visitors coming to look at this and the other 70 or so trucks on our stand and we've picked up some very good enquiries," said Jim Newsome, MD.

Great success for Tachodisc
Tachodisc's Director Karen Crispe says that the 2010 CV Operator Show has been a great success. "It generated a lot of quality leads from operators interested in our software and fleet management solutions." The firm also got a good response to its new iPhone App for Drivers, available to download from the Apple iTunes Store from 19 April 2010. "Visitors to the stand also welcomed the company's new Operator Refresher Training Courses and the new DigiPostV which we exclusively previewed at the Show." The DigiPostV will available in the Summer and will give remote data downloads from any digital tachograph. It also has a GPS, fuel monitoring and task handling functions.

Show success for Recovery Net
Newly formed Recovery Net, part of the TRANsupport Network, had a successful debut on stand 5392 at the CV Operator Show. "The Show has delivered very good visitors, keen to do business and our transport-wide offer is proving very effective," said John Marks, network manager. "We believe the Recovery Net target attendence time of 30 minutes nationally is the natural first choice for the road transport industry. We've had interest for both our standard and bespoke services from blue-chip companies."
