CITROËN BERLINGO LX - NOW THERE IS A 2 SEATER

The versatile and award-winning Citroën Berlingo range has been further extended with the introduction of a two-seater version of the best-selling Berlingo LX model from November production. Until now, Berlingo LX vans have only been available equipped with the multi-functional, modular Extenso occasional dual passenger seat.

Equipped with a driver’s and single passenger’s seat, the new Berlingo 1.6HDi 75 L1 625 LX version is priced at £12,075 MRB* representing a cost saving of £190 + VAT compared to the same Berlingo model with the Extenso-equipped dual passenger seat.

This latest Berlingo model means that the Citroën Berlingo range offers an unmatched choice of

factory-produced models, including:

- Berlingo L1 van in 625kg or 850kg payload configurations

- Berlingo L2 van with a 750kg payload

- choice of 1.6i 90hp petrol or 75 & 90hp 1.6HDi diesel engines

- X (2 seat), LX (in 2 and 3 seat configurations) and Enterprise (3 seat) trim levels

- a platform cab for specialist bodywork

- a 5-seat Crew Van

- an XTR+ enhanced-traction van

In addition to these factory-produced models, a number of Berlingo Ready to Run specialist conversions are available including glass-carriers, temperature-controlled vans, dual-fuel (petrol/LPG) vans and also the Berlingo platform cab-based Romahome R25 motorhome.

Other recent changes to the Berlingo range include the October launch of more fuel efficient, lower emissions, re-homologated Euro 4 1.6HDi 75 and 90hp engines. In Berlingo van applications these engines now have combined cycle fuel consumption improvements of up to 1.7% and CO2 emissions reductions of up to 6g/km.

These latest changes, which have been introduced without any cost penalty, will ensure that the Berlingo maintains its position as one of the UK’s best-selling small vans. Berlingo vans powered by the 1.6HDi 75hp engine now have CO2 emissions of 147g/km (reduced from 153g/km), while the 1.6HDi 90hp engine’s CO2 emissions are reduced to 149g/km (down from153g/km).

Robert Handyside, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, comments; “The Berlingo is Citroën’s best-selling LCV range. These latest changes will increase the appeal of this versatile model - and further drive down operating costs”.
